From Corwyn Thu Oct 24 23:57:36 1996 To: Morgan Cc: Corwyn, Leigh Ann Subject: Fwd: Re: Fwd: West Kingdom Navy Unto Morgan fellwalker, Admiral , Caidian Cresant Navy From Baron Corwyn DaCosta, Lord High Admiral, West Kingdom Royal Navy, CINCNAVWEST CC: The honest and law abiding Captain Siobhan of the Seahawk, who would never provide Caid with a "Cassus Belli", no sirree ! Greetings. Having concluded an extensive investigation of the issue of the so called siezure of an alleged Caidian ship in supposed Caidian waters, I can happily report that while the Royal Navy can neither confirm nor deny the actual occurrance of said alleged events at this or any other time, I would hypothetically be able to state that if any such ship was to have been found in the waters of the West then there does exist the possibility that captain or captains unknown (including but not limited to Captain Siobhan of the Seahawk) may have found it neccessary to enforce navy regulation 1, to whit "nice ship ya got, shame if it was to become a hazard to navigation, so did you know it wuz da queenz birthday ?". Attatched, please find my captain's response to my enquiry on this matter. We thank you for you interest in this matter, and wish to repeat our assurances that we have no comment whatsoever, and if we did, they would be secret, not that that would be neccessary, except in the interests of Western national security. Corwyn, Baron, Admiral, etc. ------------------------------------------------------ Unto His Excellency, LH Admiral Corwyn da Costa, from his trusty Captain, Siobhan of the SeaHawk, Coastal Seas Hm. Good spies indeed! I wonder who... Anyway, they didn't *have* to be pirates, they were in *our* waters, and what could they possibly have been doing there unless they *intended* to be here -- after all, the Islanders are reknowned for their navigational skills -- so it's just not possible that that ship was on its way to Caid, and therefore I maintain that I was doing my authorized duty in assuring that the mariners were made aware of the entirely proper protocol in offering up a really quite small token of their esteem for our Sovereign Queen as they passed through our waters, and then taking charge of the delivery of said token to said Sovereign. After all, they'd been at sea a long time, I'm sure they had forgotten the niceties of civilized behavior, and just needed a little reminding. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. And geez, maybe it'd be fun to have an interkingdom naval skirmish, eh? Hmmm... --------------------------------------------------- Hat off, as dear Siobhan says. So, fun fun fun. I'd have gotten back to this sooner but I've been very buisy at my latest postion, which i actually enjoy quite a bit. Sorry i let the important trivia of running the navy slip. So, are we at war, Navy-wise ? That could be fun. The big western war sounds like a hoot - I had long since written off estrella as a big pain in the ass, and not just for travel reasons. I may even be mobile enough to fight. Naval scenario ? Hmmm. With a few monts, just possibly. I have some rules for naval type skirmishes (largely untested) that could work. So do you Caidian types have any fighters in the Navy yet ? Lets talk more. But now, to bed for me. Corwyn
